Selected Thomasian Nursing student leaders represented the college at the 20th National Conference for Nursing Students by the Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing, Inc. (ADPCN) held at the Manila Hotel last Saturday, October 8.

Manuel John Cayanong of 4NUR-3 shared his experiences with the Hyflex Teaching and Learning approach of the college to education amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic.

“It was a huge honor and opportunity to represent UST CON. I felt proud to have the chance to show nursing schools in our country how the college makes nursing education effective for the students the Thomasian way,” Cayanong remarked.

With the theme “Transformation and Sustainability in Nursing Education,” more than 400 participants from different nursing schools across the country flocked to the conference to share practices and developments of their own institutions towards the improvement of nursing education.

Nursing student leaders Charles Hezekiah Importante, Nicole Christiane Olvido, FJ Rio Rey Bantugan, Kristahn Zoleta, John Edward Cruz, Chantelle Therize Batac and Ricasel Bustillo also participated in the event. NCBS Faculty Advisers Joanne Balagtas and Cheryleen Chua attended as well.

Representatives from five other academic institutions including Trinity University of Asia, University of the Philippines Manila, San Beda University, Ateneo de Davao University, and Cebu Normal University presented their schools’ best practices and advancements too.
