UST nursing sophomores and juniors convene for Homecoming Walk 2022

Two more batches of Thomasian student nurses made their way through the Arch of the Centuries in another Thomasian Homecoming Walk on August 23.

Following the first Thomasian Homecoming Walk held in 2 years, student nurses from Batches 2024 and 2025 gathered at the Quadricentennial Pavilion and participated in the Eucharistic celebration and Welcoming Rites.

Prior to the assembly, various freebies decorated in line with the theme, such as handmade flags, caps, sashes, stickers, string bags, and umbrellas, were distributed to the participants.

A series of performances from different college dance organizations, including a number from the Nursing Dance Troupe, culminated with the “Go USTe!” cheer. Productions from the UST Yellow Jackets and MUSIKAT concluded the program.

Donned in either Type B polos or yellow shirts, approximately 400 nursing students walked in rainy weather through the Arch, solidifying their status as members of the Thomasian community.

The theme of the Walk was “NURsters University,” a spin on the Pixar franchise “Monsters University.”

The Walk represents the kickstarting of a Thomasian’s college life in the University. Batches 2024 and 2025 did not have a welcome walk in their freshmen years due to COVID-19 restrictions.
