UST Nursing maintains perfect board passing rate for 8th straight year, 35 RNs in the top 10


For the eighth consecutive year, UST College of Nursing remained spotless after scoring 100 percent in the November Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination (PNLE) held last November 12 and 13.


With a PACUCOA Level IV accreditation status and hailed as a CHED Center of Excellence in Nursing Education, the College was named the No. 1 top-performing school producing 286 new nurses. 35 Thomasians made it to the top 10.


Jade Alexie Aranda led this year’s fresh batch of Thomasian nurses after landing the third place with a rating of 89.60 percent.


Shaneen Frances Cruz and Christine Allison Dilig clinched the fourth highest spot after tallying a rating of 89.40 percent.


Kathrine Dy and Janea Mae Soriano secured the fifth place with a score of 89.20 percent.


J Owen Lebaquin, Michelle Malonzo, Mary Marjo Torremoro, and Marian Yap finished sixth, getting identical 89-percent marks.


Alyssa Coquia and Janella Peña captured the seventh spot, each scoring 88.8 percent.


Nabbing the eighth spot at 88.60 percent are Charlene Ascan, Gian Gabrielle Boc, Kyle Concio, Ferlene Cortez, Alyssa Mae de Guzman, Jan Nadine Dionisio, Leah Justine Morales, Ella Louisse Ouano, Tyrone Gabriel Sundiam, and Julia Czarina Sy.


Dennis Jay Añonuevo, Kristen Chan, Rizabella Estevanez, Beatrice Fernandez, and Jona Jane Yutan shared the ninth spot after each scored 88.40 percent.


Kristen Azusano, Jaimie Kyle Co, Karena Ashley Cruz, Precious Jem de Roxas, Marie Elizabeth Ilagan, Annedel Ortiz, Jim Ivenson Pangan, Sophia Marie Schwarzkopf, and Katrina Dawn Uy placed tenth with a score of 88.20 percent.


The College has been continually acing the Boards since 2015.


Abigail Ramirez of Saint Paul University - Dumaguete topped the November boards after garnering a score of 90 percent.


18,529 out of 24,903 examinees passed the licensure examination, hence a national passing rate of 74.40 percent. This was an increase from June 2022’s 68 percent where 6,616 out of 9,729 examinees passed.


The results were released by PRC early morning on November 30, 12 working days after the last day of exams.
