The “Florence Nightingale Auditorium”, formerly known as “Dr. Hubert GH Wong Nursing Auditorium,” was officially revealed to the institution’s stakeholders through a blessing ceremony conducted by Fr. Julius Paul C. Factora, OP, JCD, the Regent of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) College of Nursing, on the 8th of November, 2024.
With Professor Rowena L. Escolar Chua, PhD, Dean of the College of Nursing, leading the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the event was attended by the administrators, faculty members, support staff and alumni.
The newly renovated auditorium features a state-of-the-art platform, new flooring and chairs creating a more comfortable and functional learning space for nursing students and an ideal venue for events, lectures and other college gatherings.
Following the blessing, the attendees were invited to the unveiling of the “Gratitude Wall,” set in front of Room 101. This was made to recognize all the generous alumni, donors and supporters who joined the cause.
This significant improvement in the facility highlights the College of Nursing’s commitment to excellence in nursing education now and for more years to come.
