In celebration of the success of the November 2021 Nursing Licensure examinees and close the 75th anniversary of the UST College of Nursing, a Thanksgiving mass was held on February 12, 2022, at UST Santisimo Rosario Parish.
"Yes, we may have achieved so much in our lives. We have passed the board examinations, we become heads of companies, we become deans of prestigious schools of nursing, and we offer it to God simply because he allowed us to be the vessels and instruments of his unending grace" remarked Rev. Fr. Julius Paul Factora, Regent, UST CON.
UST CON aced the 2021 nursing licensure exam for the seventh consecutive year after posting a 100 percent passing rate in the November exams.
Thomasian Margaret Lucas Sta. Maria, who ranked fourth among 6,086 passers, gave her message and encouraged her peers to continue exploring and learning more as they progress throughout their careers and become the nurses their future patients deserve and create meaningful experiences with them.
"Thomasian nurses are given the ability to be very resilient. We have been on the frontlines. We are very courageous, and those are the traits that have been imbibed to us by our mentors and our teachers. We still chose to celebrate despite all of these crises happening all around us because we have so many reasons to be thankful for," closed Dean Rowena Escolar Chua.
With the theme, "Formed by heart, Illuminating with excellence," the Diamond Anniversary of the college was set to have grand on-site activities but underwent adjustments due to the pandemic.
