University of Sto. Tomas’ prime media for television and broadcasting, Tiger Media Network, made its return of operations last February 5, 2024. Broadcasted by its main media outlets Tiger TV and Tiger Radio, the network announced its set of shows and programs to be aired campus-wide, both online and across lobbies of various faculties and colleges.
Among the remarkable projects, TIGER RUSH, the university’s teleradio show, is scheduled to be televised every 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Expected to display the Thomasian brilliance, students and faculty alike are in for a treat as they witness the showcasing of talents, captivating crafts, and milestone projects through the different segments planned. Programs catering to the interests of the student body, such as “#OOTD (Org of the Day) and “TomaSINO” that aims to relish the achievements of many Thomasians, have been set in motion. Segments for a Thomasian’s lifestyle, “BREADTALK” (business and finance), “Tara, Biyahe” (tourism), Kolehi-U (Mental Health campaign), “PLATE DATE,” and “TOMAS NUTRIO-USTE” (nutrition), are among the line-ups of teleradio shows as well. TIGER RUSH also features heartwarming reminiscence as it takes on Thomasian alumni talks during their life as students of the university with the show “TRAILBLAZERS.” Worry not as well for the avid sports fans as they will release sports-related content in “JUMPSTART.” With these never-ending collection of must-watch shows, Thomasians have much to look forward to within the academic year!
UST Tiger Radio is also not far behind as it is set to operate once again with its own variety of media from 1:00PM to 4:30 PM at mixlr.com/ustigeradio, the official e-radio portal. Included are the following: “Thomasian Viewpoint,” “Tiger Musika,” “Tiger Talk Over,” and other shows that have been marked already as the go-to listens of many Thomasian students.
