The NCBS Executive and Legislative Board is Now Complete



The first Legislative Assembly was held by the UST College of Nursing - Commission on Elections (COMELEC) together with the Nursing Central Board of Students’ (NCBS) Executive and Legislative Board, and the UST Nursing Class Presidents of all year levels on August 26, 2022 through Google Meet.


The event was conducted to elect and fill the vacant positions of the Executive and Legislative Boards of the NCBS for Academic Year 2022-2023.


The Commission held special elections for the vacant positions in the Executive Board of the NCBS following the elections done last April 8, 2022 according to the provisions stated under Article 15 of the Constitutions-and-By-Laws of the Student Government of the UST College of Nursing 2009.


Members of the Legislative Board, the legislative and quasi-judicial body of the organization, were also appointed through an election which was facilitated by the COMELEC.


The program started with the orientation on the constitution and by-laws of the Student Government followed by the brief discussion of the roles and responsibilities of the officers to be elected.


The following students were elected in the Executive Board: Frances Raphaella Lianne Ala of 3NUR1 as Assistant Secretary; Kriza Serrano of 1NUR1 as Treasurer; Enzo Quintos of 1NUR4 as Assistant Treasurer; Cyra Sabal of 3NUR6 as Auditor; and Mhayi Pimintel of 3NUR5 as PRO.


The following students were appointed as part of the Legislative Board: Kristahn Zoleta of 2NUR5 as Speaker; Alyzza Ordonez of 1NUR2 as Deputy Speaker; and Kyle Kevlar Labay of 1NUR3 as Secretary General.


The program concluded with a photo opportunity followed by a closing remark from the NCBS President, Charles Hezekiah Importante, congratulating the newly elected Board Members and reminding them to be a good and effective leader.
