The Nursing Central Board of Students (NCBS) formally concluded the college’s Nursing Week celebration with an awarding and talent ceremonies held virtually on Saturday, November 19.
“Nursing Land: A World of Excellence and Heart” is a culmination of all the events that transpired throughout the three-day online festivities since November 17. Winners from various team-building events and student awards were recognized during the event.
The activities include: Beauty and the Brave: The Nursing League; ECOpportunity: Stand up for Nature, Stand up for your Future; W.A.T.E.R.S.: Weaving Alliances Through Empowered Relationships; GAME, SET, FEUD: The UST Nursing Faculty Recreational Event; NURTASIA: Tales of the Lamp Bearers; and Born with Heart: Nursing Shirt and Lanyard Design Contest.
Student awards per year level were also given based on the results of the online survey forms disseminated a week prior. These awards include: Best in FDAR, Make Up King/Queen, Mr./Ms. Pahiram Ako, Mr./Ms.Retdem, Mr./Ms. Early Bird, Mr./Ms. BS Student Org, Mr./Ms. Reax, and Mr./Ms. Face of the Batch.
The event featured various Thomasian performers from the college and university. In addition to performances, the administration, faculty members, and support staff were also given a chance to flaunt their talents.
The performances comprised of the following: Sean Pabico & Tiara Ysabelle’s “Mahalaga,” Anthony Masigan’s “Unexplainable,” Chorus of the Nightingales, Nursing Dance Troupe, Nursing’s Dedicated Teachers (NDT), Team Level 3 (Faculty Members), and Fab Nurses at 20 (FN20).
NCBS President Charles Hezekiah Importante concluded the event and expressed his gratitude to all the students, student leaders, faculty, and college administrators for making the 76th Nursing Week a ‘magical’ success.
